Best price for Balmoral Hotel Edinburgh?

We are looking for a 2 night break in early Dec at the Balmoral, with breakfast.

Best room prices we can find without breakfast are £152 per night.

Breakfast appears to be an additional £18 per person per day extra.

Their direct website isn't working for bookings at the moment.

Any tips for a good deal?

Thanks!

Looked everywhere, was asking here for a personal recommendation, as so people here often have good tips (or know staff)...
It's the top hotel in the city by far, totally luxury, although the Radisson is better value.

Thanks nico, can't beat it so we'll go with it!
  • Just to add a question, where did you get the £18 breakfast price per person from? I was interested in staying there next Easter but it must be a great breakfast for that price...

Just compare the prices with breakfast and without...

It is a very expensive option, no doubt lovely, but not worth that value.
  • I've just tried their website and the cheapest room midweek is £190 inclusive of breakfast.

Gone up £2 per night since my first post!

Cheapest price has always been direct with their website, as soon as it was back on-line after my first post the rate was identical to "broker" sites.
