We are about to book a flight to Vegas with thomas cook.
Im being particularly tight about the 17.00 meal cost - If |I discarded this what are the options for buying snacks on board. Will try the boots meal deal option but my experience is that they might sell out!
Dont want to starve but really balking at the cost esp given that we will probalby sleep through the return journey anyway. ( always do)
Am I being far too tight ( is that possible)
thoughts please
( oh 2 adults, no kids)

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Take your own food onboard - problem solved.0 -
I agree, airline food is awful at best. Your £17 can buy an awful lot more, and better still make nice rolls/sandwiches to take with you, or on the return leg, by some nice snacks in the city before you leave.
We never opt for the meal, it's a complete waste of money.0 -

Along with others here we always uncheck the food option on TC flghts to Vegas. Last time got fed on the way out without a problem as usual ,but on the way back they were a bit more on the ball and knew we hadn't selected food. Were willing to sell us a meal for £5 each. We said ok, they served the food and then didn't take the money. Haven't seen anybody here say they didn't get a meal after unselecting it.
bit of a gamble but you can also pack a bit of your own food as a backup.0 -
we booked with thomas cook but flew with monarch to cyprus, unchecked and didnt pay for the meals, however they gave us them on both journeys0
-
thanks ever so much all
Wont bother
just wondeirng for anyone who books this flight with TC- could you please help.
We dont want to pay the exta 50 quid for the extra baggage, we only had 18 between us the last holiday we went on so know we definately wont need it.
Im unchecking the box a few times and each time the extra 50 quid for extra luggage remains. Anyone got any ideas, I really wanted to book it now

if you tick the 15kg luggage allowance it should take the excess charge off0
-
