Turkey was flying out!

I had the easiest to cook and cheapest turkey ever this year. Lidl were selling refrigerated vac packs half price at £2.49 each. I bought 2 of them which I cooked on Christmas Eve and after feeding family of 5 I now have one left for us and a guest for Boxing day. So my turkey today was just £2.49-no bones-no waste-just turkey breast. My "whole" turkey I had bought a couple of weeks ago is still in the freezer for an occassion where I have more time to spare. Maybe easter-they keep a year or so, so there is no rush to use it up.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

I had a free christmas pudding this year curtousy of Tesco. Last year i bought one for our christmas dinner, they sent me two and only charged me for the one. We aint that keen on christmas pudding so i checked the sell by date on it cause i couldnt face it twice in one christmas and was amazed it had over a 12 month shelf life on it. So i kept it for this year. I cant tell you the amount of times ive come across it in my cupboard and nearly threw it away each time but i didnt. So anyway, come christmas day 2005 i served it up - and it was lovely.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
