hi guys, youngest needs some help as his grades have gone down alot since last parents evening. I would like to support him through by working through some worksheets with him. ANy recommendations? He is 9 and in year 5.
We are considering a private tutor for him as well, once a week and I have also booked him in for an eye test as when speaking to him he has said that some words are blurred!!
any help

Hi. Have you tried the BBC bitesize website? I found the site to be helpful for some extra help at home. There was also a primary school with online activities primarily sats but good activities http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk (not sure how to do link-sorry) we just googled 'key stage 2'.
Other than that we also bought the Letts key stage 2 books which aren't overly expensive but the children enjoyed the activities in the book. Hope that helps.2025: 52 wk envelope challenge #80 -
There are loads out there, i dont have the links as im at work, but just type free maths work sheets into google and loads of sites come up.
Maths Sphere is one, and as kazzymac said the BB website is great too.
Primary worksheets is another site, will do some links when i get home tonight. But there are loads out there.0 -
There are loads out there - just type free ks2 worksheets into google.
As a home educator, something which caught my eye recently was 'skills4kids'.
www.skills4kids.com
It helps with maths and english.
I haven't checked it out yet - apart from the free trial, which I liked and DDs got on well with.

Don't forget, worksheets are no good on their own, adult input is needed too0 -
Try looking at topicbox.net - it isn't work sheets but covers all ks1 and ks2 subjects and has interactive websites which will help with the input!0
