Some of you seem to be confusing what people expect/believe will happen and what they are hoping for.
Owning property wouldn't mean I instantly had a bullish outlook, I'd still have a bearish view of the markets i.e. I would expect prices to keep falling. I might hope otherwise, but I doubt it'd colour my outlook to the point of out and out denial.
I'd probably stop caring to be honest, and stop reading this subforum

your title is very misleading. It does not say that the BoE will cut rates to 1.5% in Dec at all.
But I wouldn't bet against it. Would you?

That's a good point.
The bearish on housing tend to be savers.
The bullish tend to have large mortgage debt or property investment.
But not always. There are quite a few bearish people here who own their property outright, even multiple properties and BTLs.
Not many bullish people who haven't already bought. Mind you, if you were bullish about today's market the thing to do is buy.
Completely ridiculous viewpoint and IMHO displays a lack of understanding in those terms. It's as though !!!!!! thinks Bears and Bulls are set character types that people are born into.
I'm bearish towards the stockmarket and the housing market right now because I think both will continue falling. Once I feel that the stockmarket bottoms I will start feeling bullish about the market and will be investing. The housing market will recover much slower so I expect to be bearish about this sector for quite a while.
I know that there are a lot of 'arm chair' economists, including !!!!!!? who don't really know too much about the stockmarket, but can we please stop using the terms 'bull' and 'bear' when you really mean 'HPCer' (Those who want a housing crash) and 'HPIer (Those who want a housing boom)'. :rolleyes:
