Hi MSE's

I was wondering if you could please hijackthis for me , my laptops been a bit slow recently and recently crashed due to registry files accidently being deleted by ccleaner (rubbish!!!)

Anyway , i don't like the look of the weather watcher thing

Also , i need a bit of advice , i used ccleaner's registry fix and it crashed my computer ,

My computer said it can not load windows so luckily i booted in safe mode and readded the registry keys using the backup , you know the one just before you do the scan. And now it is working but i think its slower.

I just done a system restore so will that fully fix all my registry keys back to how they were before they were backed up and then removed? Is it possible to check that using this hijack this?

Alos i am slightly concerned with 'host' in this log , in the info it says it may be infected???

It's not ccleaner that's caused you problems, only one anti-virus program should be installed!

Have you pasted it in the analysis page at www.hijackthis.de ?

Running CCleaner would not cause the problem, it is an excellent tool, unless you randomly deleted registry keys of course...

What happened was , i used their registry tools , after it had 'cleaned the registry' , i decided to reboot and it said windows was unable to boot , so i booted in safe mode and restored the keys .

After , it worked but it seems like it slowed ,

So now i have done a system recivery and i was wondering would that fully restore all the keys back to how they were before they were wiped???

Oh yeah , that weather watcher i uninstalled ages ago and was wondering why it is still there??? Also , the laptop come with a free trial of norton but i uninstalled that too so why is it still on?

yes, should never have 2 antivirus on at the same time , choose one or the other

Sorry I'm not a big fan of Norton, but as has been said having 2 lots of antivirus competing with each other is not a good idea.

In general, you should use the Norton Removal Tool to remove Norton AntiVirus products. Otherwise they don't uninstall cleanly.
