Any such thing as a cheap New Year getaway?

Wouldn't mind a city break for 2 either in this country or Europe or any other suggestions for New Year! Don't want to spend silly money - max £100/£150 each for 2/3 nights.
Thanks in hope

When you say new year, do you actually mean New Years Eve or did you just mean early Jan.
From the responses you've had so far people see to be assuming you mean New Years Eve which will be expensive.
We are going to London on 2nd Jan and we got a 2for1 deal with the holiday inn.
There should be quite a few deals around for January

I do mean New years Eve - thats why I asked if there was any such thing as a cheap one? We really wanted to go to Edinburgh, but it would be a min of £300 each :rolleyes:0

Youth Hostels www.yha.org.uk can be great at this time of year as their prices are rarely seasonal. You may still be able to get a private room and with food the cost would be around £35 a night. There are some 4-5 star hostels around the country and these offer a very good standard of accommodation and are good fun at the festive season.
