Unwanted christmas prezzies - what to do??

  • When my daughter received a gift she already had a few months ago from ELC, I took it back and exchanged it for something else. They were having a sale, but I found out how much it would have cost before sale, and chose something else, which was also on sale, and similarly reduced in price, so as not to miss out on the price savings.

However, she did receive a party invitation that week. So in the end, we gave the little boy the pressie that we had exchanged, and I ended up choosing something else for her which was just £1 more, that she would have really liked. Alternatively, you could keep the pressie to give to someone else later.

I wouldn't bother on ebay, as I've tried selling things there before, without any success. You'll always make a loss - you won't get the equivalent cost back, plus you'll have to pay fees.
