I think that is a brilliant idea Sammy!
we could all get 'MSE/DFW' and then our user names! I wouls only put 'Bunny' on mine though...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Sammy et all,
Been looking at the site Sammy mentioned-we could get a Nike running top and customise it with names, logos etc.
They are £30 but we could put 'MoneySavingExpert' and 'DebtFreeWannaBe' on the front, and our user names on the back-we can even put a logo on it if we want-but they are specific ones (unless Martin would let us use the official logo somehow? I dunno!)
They come in short and long sleeve and quite a few colours-Maz, the pink was in a very light pink, not beetroot! lolEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
it looks a bit clingy for my lumps!
and not very MSE....
Could we just get ourselves some silly headgear and a name badge instead??
Plus it's not a good idea to run in something you've never worn before.... can cause chafing!
am i being a spoil sport?! - sorry!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
As the route goes past my flat I was wondering if people wanted to come round here and do the cheering from here? I can do some sandwiches and things. I'm close to the city centre, it's walkable or the bus is £1.10 to the centre (probably less to the merrion centre end of town). Just a thought.
That is so sweet of you ames!
You do realise we shall expect you guys to wave to us from one point and then beetle like mad to the finish line for us! We want glorious fans and waving, so we can look mega popular!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Alternatively my running club does 2 x technical fabric tshirts for a £10... we could get those and each customise them.......... £5 each and personalisation is, well personal......?
I'm sure i could buy half a dozen from them in various sizes if we were interested.....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Ive said 2 hours! lol
Seriously though.. I did 5k offroad in 32 minutes... so I'll be quite happy to double that and use 64 minutes as a target as it's on the road... not sure how achieveable though! :eek:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Sounds a bit more MSE than Nike ones although that pink is rather lovely. Might aim to treat myself to one when I manage to do my first 5km training run after the sprouting...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

I do like them but i know i wouldn't wear it as too clingy..... plus i have my 2 technical t shirts which i like and they agree with me, IYKWIM,
headgear/name badges/race numbers can be worn to the pub later and should be good for a few free drinks!! t shirts should not be worn to pub as this will result in BO extraordinaire and not a good way to get people to buy drinks!
Did you book your room yet Luc?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
