BUMP!
Hey guys, i was wondering........ dangerous i know......
Is anyone running for a particular charity or anything? I'm not, other than the donation to the appeal within my entry...
Did i read something about having your name on a vest spud? Are you running for MacMillan?
I don't have a charity close to my heart as such to run for, when my dad died we said no flowers and got money which we gave to the Earl Haig Fund/Poppy appeal for soldiers....
I think a lot of charities get so many sponsorships, it's big business isn't it....?
I am thinking about it.... anyone else any thoughts?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
My stomach turns every time I see this thread bumped _pale_
I'm running for Macmillan yes Maz. They're sending me a shirt, and some iron on letters
They were a great help when my nan died and I have a friend who's partner is terminally ill, and will no doubt need them one day. As you know, bith my parents deaths were heart related, but will do something for the British Heart Foundation or similar another time.
I might have to be brave and take my sponsor form in work soon :eek:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

i could probably get a £100 together from work and home but not much really.... which is why i thought a smaller charity would be better.... does Macmillan ask for a minimum amount,or did you buy the vest?
I thought about CHAS, childrens hospice association scotland, see if they might provide runner support....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
No Maz, they send me one shirt free, have to pay if I need more. Also no minimum sponsorship that I can see on the paperwork. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

you've done your bit this year sally!!
i just thought i would do one of mine as a charity one... and when they said free vest, well i was in there!!
Nah seriously i love this charity, i know Beanie supports them too, so they do good work. I've raised for them before, did a ceilidh dance at my old work and managed to raise a few hundred before...
Should be good for £100 anyway.... which pays for 2 nights respite care for a terminally ill child and their family at one of the hospices... gotta be worth a shot.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
