Buffy - Great news that you are coming honey!!!! Fantastic!!

Spud - y'know it would be a fabby experience!! Think seriously about it... you do loads of walking already day to day, so i think actually walking it wouldn't be a great leap from where you are... either way, i'm just chuffed you're gonna be there!

I'm a saturday night and sunday night person... doubt i will be driving this time! couldn't be bovvered!

6.2 miles is a VERY long way, especially for a very unfit bloater like me

You'd all be in a bar, well on the woowoo by the time I finished :rotfl:

It would be a fab experience tho. Let me think about it ;)

spud - you just need someone else who will walk at the smae pace as you....

i think i said this to buffy earlier in this thread... if you look at last years results you can see loads of people must've walked as tons of people come in in 2hours+......

a normal walking pace is 3miles per hour... you'll be faster than that due to adrenalin, the crowd factor etc!

wait til i find my post re last years times, it gives you a great idea of how not near the back you will be!!

Spud, I promise I won't start the woo woo till you get there. In fact I will run it and then come back for you and walk the rest of the way....

PS I am back home now - thank God!

We walked 3 quite hilly miles a few weeks ago in just over an hour, so it would be like that, but going back again. Hmmmmmm

I just bought a pair of training shoes when I started running but now I run in trail type running shoes cos I run through foresty type stuff near me...If you are just going to walk it then any kind of trainers would do I think...
