I'm back up to 5k (although treadmill not outdoors). It's going well I think, no problems with asthma, lungs are coping well, just a case of increasing the distance now.

10k seems so far though  and it's going to be difficult to find time to go for longer runs. It takes me nearly three quarters of an hour to do 5k, so I will need about 2 hours to do 10k!! :rotfl:

  • i completed the first week of my 10k plan last week.

    Monday 2.5miles
    Wednesday 2.5miles
Saturday 3miles (+gym session in am, did stepper which was a new one on me, and ouch my butt hurts!)
Sunday 20 min walk (more like 45mins but hey ho!) (+swimming for fun with Erin in the afternoon).

Jeeee whizz, what an athlete i am!!

At least with this programme i am upping my milage now, which i have really needed to do for a while.... i am finding running easier now i am a stone and a half lighter... should only get easier i guess as i carry on with CD... in theory anyway!

Put me down as a very probably for the party.

Will the party by on the Saturday or Sunday night (or both)?

I ask because if it's on the Sunday night I'll book the Monday off work.

It's quite possibly going to be a 2 night party Steve. The run is on the Sunday so there will be whoever goes on the Saturday during the day and then the after run drinks on Sunday night!

go for it - book the Monday off ;)
