Quick JSA question

Hi There

Im trying to help my Mum find out whether she can receive JSA. Her job has finished for 6 months as it is seasonal. She is 50 and married to my Dad who is working. She has a small amount of savings.

Can she get JSA? How does it work in terms of my father recieveing income (although extra support is needed)...?

She would be entitled to Contributions Based JSA based on her Class1 NIC contributions for 2006-7. If she doesn't qualify for that, then income based JSA would be impacted by your dads earnings. They could qualify for working tax credits.
