MBNA Loan sharks

Like a lot of people i have a few credit cards that to my regret find are all owned by MBNA Big Mistake!!! for instance.

I stopped my PPI and asked for repayment of the PPI Not only have not repaid it after asking years ago. but within months of stopping the PPI raised the intereest Rate by over 100% on my virgin card. Have been to the FSA, OFT, and FOS the last one has been looking into it for months and it appears can take anything up to 6-9 months to even start the process of sorting out MBNA. how and i forgot also stopped use of the card at the same time. not that i would want to anyway. Even wrote to Virgin direct and Mr Branson's office came back with they can do nothing as it is all run by MBN. but they feel that the charges are fair and resonable for the service they provide!!!!

Plus i suffer from a long terme illness now of a mental type ie chronic depression and have instreucted them of this given them medical proof of this and asked not to contact me other than by mail. what have they done repeated phone calls various threats, and other stuff all of which i thought was illegal. what do the FSA,OFT, OFS do simple nothing!!!!

You've signed up to a variable interest credit agreement, what is illegal if the credit card company varies that interest?

To be honest the harassment is out of order but as normanmark says, you signed up, spent their money and now you have to live with the consequences.

If you check out the Dealing with debt board the folks there might be able to offer more/better advice on the phone calls and what you can do to sort this out etc

The phone calls are out of order, but the rest, no. Why do you think you should have the PPI payments refunded ?
