    A lot, it's absolutely huge. At least 150, I reckon.

    What was the original build do you think? Were they built as studios originally, or have they been chopped up/down in every boom?

    I think they've been studios from the beginning (1930s build, I'd guess, from the look of it) but I'm not sure. I'll try to find out.

    This article reckons there are 500 in the block:

    One of the most famous is Russell Court in Woburn Place, which contains 500 studio flats that sell for upwards of £135,000.
    These are popular with parents of London University students or with out-of-towners who need a London pied-à-terre. A clause in the lease outlaws sub-letting for more than a year in every two-year period, so they do not attract investors.
