Studio asking prices down a lot - WC1 UPDATED 23rd NOV

The area north of Old Street but south of Islington always used to be very cheap and incredibly central. Ditto Kings Cross. The latter is also very handy if you fancy some drugs or paid-for sex.
These are the cheapest I can find within 3 (RM) miles of WC1:
3 bed in Hackney, £300 pcm

£300 and £315 can't be right surely! That says a 3-bed place and it looks big and quite lovely. Even if it's a shared flat it's cheap as chips.

I remember looking at one of those flats in Russell Court when I was flathunting in 1998. Can't remember the exact price but it would have been about £85,000.

I reckon it's weekly not monthly - I saw a one-bed flat to rent in the same street as the Hackney one about five years ago and it was £180pw. And not very nice.No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
