With Virgin ? This may help !!

How to get a cheaper rate on your credit card...this worked for me with Virgin...

Provided you have a good credit rating....set up an application with another card company with at least as good a deal as you are getting with Virgin...once done..telephone Virgin and tell them you want to cancel the card...they will ask you why...of course you tell them 'cause you have been accepted by a competitor with better rates...there will then be a short silence whilst they contact their "Customer Retention Department"...then they will come back to you with a revised rate. They dropped 3.5% on my card down to 13.5% !! I even got a very nice letter from their "Costumer Retention Director" !!!!

Of course this might work on other cards as well...but it certainly does with Virgin

Good luck !!

This is a variable rate, and they will revert back to your previous rate or raise your interest rate when you owe them money for certain period especially MBNA.
