Unpaid Item Dispute - does it close automatically?
VH
I started an upaid item dispute 7 days ago to claim back fees due to a non-paying bidder.
Buyer has not responded at all - will the dispute automatically close itself or will I have to close it myself?
If it is the latter then how do I go about closing it?
Cheers

u close it yourself, click on the close dispute button. You then click on the relevant option and the dispute is closed....
hope this helps
(sadly I had to close one last week)0 -
Oh and don't forget to take that little bit of satisfaction from completing the NPB process and getting back the FVFs and knowing that your errant buyer has a strike against their account. Three strikes and they are out.

Thanks everyone! Good job I checked, I assumed the dispute closed automatically.
I will take great delight claiming this one back as the buyer has messed me about for weeks!0 -
Some more urgent help please!
I have now claimed back my fees and the buyer has received an unpaid item strike. I have also left the buyer negative feedback to warn off other sellers. He has responded with a snotty comment saying he sent a cheque, I did not communicate with him etc.
And lo and behold, after ignoring me for weeks I suddenly receive an email via Ebay saying buyer has decided to pay. The email has promised that he will send a cheque 'shortly'. As he as already promised 2 Paypal payments and 1 non-existent cheque I quite frankly no longer want to deal with him anymore.
As the dispute has closed in my favour can I relist the item immediately and can he prevent me from doing so?
Also, what do I do about the buyer? Should I simply ignore him or just contact him and say I have relisted?
If his cheque does turn up (which I doubt), should I just send it back?
Cheers

When I was put in a similar position earlier this year, when the cheque finally did clear I sold it to him and got my fvf. He asked if i could remove the strike and i said no lol0
