Northampton to Aberdeen - cheapest way, please

Hello I am wanting to travel to Aberdeen over the new year. I have been looking at planes and trains. I have looked at Martins tips and think I can do it for £100 for two returns by train but this takes forever. Can anyone help me with some other ideas?

Thanks

  • What dates over the new year are you traveling, if possible you want to avoid Friday 2nd of Jan as this is alreadry a busy day for the trains with alot of advance tickets already gone.

It will take an age by train as it over 450 miles and on average 2 changes of train it will take about 8 hours, if traveling time is a problem then flights are the best option.
