Still having problems with my Netgear!!

I have now been told my netgear support and City of heroes support that it could be my router firewall, or My port settings.

So...
As im no computer expert - How do i make an Rule on my firewall settings to allow my son to Play City of hereos / Battlefield 2 and use Msn 7.5.

Also how do i check my port settings?

what firewall are you using ??

Mine shows me what is being blocked in the alerts log, i use that to work out what ports, IP addresses etc need adding to the rules

Well, i have turned off the Windows firewall, so im assuming its the firewall on the router, so i dont know

download tcpview from sysinternals.com, then run the game, this should help you identify which ports need opening (if any).

Then go into to the router config screen 192.168.0.1, firewall rules, and allow that port through..

Be careful that you don't disable inbound blocking totally, as now you have disabled the windows firewall, you have no protection.
