  • I like to watch Love Actually and The Snowman around Christmas. We used to always watch The Snowman on Christmas Eve as a family. One of my fondest memories of it though was when I was on my Erasmus year in Germany and I had some friends over to watch Christmas films, and after seeing The Snowman my norwegian friend burst into tears (of joy) and said it was one of the most beautiful things she'd ever seen. It was so lovely to see what an effect it had on an adult (in her early twenties) who'd never seen it before.

As for Christmas music I like to listen to the Bright Eyes Christmas CD (him singing carols) or the Sufjan Stevens christmas box-set. I also have some mix CD's I've made myself of Christmas songs that I like to put on.
  • What a nice festive thread!!!! I LOVE all thing Christmassy!!!!! I drive my OH and family mad playing Christmas CDs from December 1st (I have to wait till December) I have the Now xmas albumn, and a home made one.
My favourite song is mariah Carey, all i want for Christmas.
    Film wise.
    Love Actually
    The Holiday
Elf - childish but actually really funny!
    Scrooge - is Great!!!!
Miracle on 34th street - but someone has stole my DVD!
I went to see Fred Clause at the cinema last year so might get it when its out, it was quite good for a modern Chritmas film.
I dont have many, but I am moving out next year so for next Chritmas I am going to stock up on Christmas films and CD's for after the decorating and cosy nights in!!! x

Well I was gutted last Sunday because as I had the house to myself I was going to sit down, do some wrapping and watch Christmas with the Kranks..went to open the DVD box and Harry Potter was in there! Searched for the Harry Potter DVD box and it was empty! Curse my natural urge to not put DVD's back in their proper box. Still, wasn't all bad - I watched Elf instead.

While wrapping presents, putting up Xmas decorations etc most people say they put on Xmas cd, then when everything's done, watch an Xmas film.

Do they?? I don't know anyone that does that
