Monument card

Evening all,

I've just applied for and been accepted for a monument card. :D

I realise that it's a poor card in terms of interest etc. however I have a poor credit history (albeit fairly old now) and no current credit - so I found it difficult to obtain credit at all.

I'll be using this card purely as a means of building a credit record, and will be using it for regular spending - clearing the balance in full by DD each month.

Only really one question, I know the limit on the card will be low - but how low should I expect?

Cheers,

Marc

There are plenty of posts concerning the unreliability of this card provider.

I've just rang and eventually pursuaded the guy to check if my account was active

It was setup on 11th November, so my card will dispatched soon

    Hurrayyyy
  • just applied for the monument card, got rejected straightaway... they didnt even ask for employer details, other cards etc, was a basic app and then said i didnt fit the criteria.
strange as i have no adverse and been slowly building my credit profile, it could be the 6 searches in last 6 months though
  • Card arrived today. :D

They've given me a £400 limit, which I'm more than happy with, as it's a sensible amount which I can spend each month and then pay off in full. :)
