With the old version of Hotmail, I could choose the separator for the reply message. So, it could either be an arrow for each line of the reply or a line at the top or something else. Anyway, now I seem to be only allowed the arrow version. Does anyone know how to change it to the line at the top?
Thanks

AFAIK, you can't with the new version of Hotmail.
">" is a standard which is why it's used.
If you want to send via Hotmail and put in your own character, use Windows Live Mail to send and receive Hotmail.0 -
I wish they would leave the Hotmail format alone or give us the option to retain the old format instead of changing it without notice - is there any way I can revert to the original 'old-type' screen format that was perfectly satisfactory for my needs and was one I could actually work ??0

As an alternative you can run gmail accounts through your Windows Mail account, just add an account and put the gmail settings in.
You can also forward all Hotmail and Gmail to an existing Windows Mail account.0 -
