Incapacity Benefit Appeals

Hi
My son has been diagnosed with both Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Post Traumatic Concussion. I am to attend an Incapacity benefit Appeal with him. He has undergone a 'medical', but as I understand it did not atchieve the required 15 points. My son has no physical disabilities but his condition does impact significantly on his physical functioning. I have recieved the 12 page document from the DWP but cannot make head nor tail of it. Can anyone help me with identifying the specific reason why my son was assessed for being fit for work within this document? What is the criterion for Appeal?

Never done an IB appeal only a DLA appeal.
Any how you might want to read this thread it lists that you only need 9 points for claiming for mental conditions.

You need 10 points to pass the test on mental health grounds alone.
I read down to the one above your reply saying 9 and then you said 10 I had a feeling it was 10.

I'm currently waiting for my appeal to go to tribunal, its happening next Friday, I had my Incapacity Benefit suddenly stopped back in June, even though I have been on it since 2003 and have had several medicals and always scored enough points to qualify, the "doctor" who saw me in June wrote down the complete opposite to what I said, it was unbelievable, I don't know whats going to happen, we're in debt, I wont sign on for JSA as I'm not able to work, and I am not prepared to lie and say I am just to get money. I had a responsible job with HM Customs and Excise before falling ill, and had to resign because of my health, something I was sad to do, so this feels like a kick in the teeth to be honest.
I am just so fed up with it allwhat goes around, comes around...........0
