On the DMP with maintenance included I was going to work with holes in the bottom of my shoes, eating one meal a day and I couldn't afford my sons school uniform. I relied on my parents to buy it but I couldn't do that forever0
-
So with it included in your BR SOA you are left with only £12 over.
I am trying to get my head round this. With the DMP you had an extra £200 they did not know about? is your OR thinking you should then have more surplus now? Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -
My surplus on my DMP was £123 the OR has looked at my SOA with my maintenance and decided my surplus (After realisitic living expenses) is £135. so I will have to pay an IPA which im not worried about, but the debt management plan living expenses were completely unrealistic and the OR has agreed that I have the £135 surplus. My childs dad got funny with me when I couldn't afford to replace their school jumper and I had to beg hi to buy me a pair of trousers for work because mine had worn so thin that they split completely right on my backside when I was at work0

Then I personally think you have nothing to worry about, he is probably just double checking the figures you have given him, once he has them in front of him he can see what you have said is true, and then he will impliment the IPA.
At least with an IPA should things get tight you can go back to the OR and try to get it reduced.
I was in an IVA and know exactly how unrealistic the money they allow you is, and can say in BR they are more fair on the needs of a family.
Let us know how it goes, but stop worrying please.
Hopefully you will now have more money for living and clothes etc.

I really dont mind if I get a BRO or BRU i certainly wont be using credit again. I was just worried that I could get a criminal charge0
-
I dont think you can, as I say you should just tell the truth, that your husband got very nasty and you could not even buy your child clothes for school or yourself any for work.
How many months payments did he miss? can you prove that? will your husband put what happened in writing for you if you need him to? although I am not sure it would come to that. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -
He missed two payments0

I would not worry, you can tell the OR this, but say you then begged him to pay again as you could not even afford to live, as everything was going up, and when you were paying it into the DMP you were on the bread line!
I am sure things will be okay. Have you sent this off to the OR, if not when you do pop in a letter saying if he would like to call you to clarify anything you will be pleased to assist.
Get the details to him pronto though, that way he knows you are willing to work with him, and that goes a long way as well as being honest with him.

What other paperwork do they normally ask for0
-
They can ask for bank statements, wage slips utility bills.
However they do not always ask for these. What have they asked you for so far, was your OR interview on the phone? Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0
