Which is cheaper?
I have heard many conflicting opinions on this and would like to hear what members on here think [ sorry if this is posted in wrong place ].

The same question also regarding heating......both heated by gas..[ gas central heating ]

The answer is timed, for everything, timed, absolutely no shadow of a doubt! - timed!!!0 -
Best method of heating is to turn the boiler off, go to work, print out every argument about this subject ever posted here then take them home to burn in an open fire. No need to pay for heating for at least a thousand years.Reading this signature is a waste of time0

If you are on a water meter then leaving the water on constantly will give you a huge bill. Definitely cheaper to have it timed or better still on manual so it only gets used on demand. Taps are a cheap way of adding this money saving feature.;)0 -

As said last time, in a thousand years with Global warming we won't need heating.
So to be prepared, can you tell me the most economical way to run Air Conditioning - on constantly or timed?0 -
I'd suggest purchasing one of my soon-to-be-rejected-on-dragon's-den nuclear powered air-conditioners with built-in "save the damned planet" technology. Turn it full on, open the windows and switch on the Mars-tracking parabolic infra-red radiator. This will cool your home, the Earth and make Mars a lot more comfortable. The whole thing will be paid for by govenment subsidy for saving the Earth and billing the inhabitants of Mars for heating. Leaving it on 24/7 will just make you richer.Reading this signature is a waste of time0
