    Afternoon all. :hello:

Is there an IT geek around? I've been getting my son to pass me a parcel everyday but after he passed yesterday's, hubby discovered that he's got a virus on his PC. I haven't passed that parcel to anyone yet and my PC seems fine but I'm just wondering if it's safe to pass it on or any others that I've received this morning because I'd hate to pass on a virus to anyone!

I would say it's pretty unlikely to have come from the Lush game TJ, do you know the virus name? have you run your anti virus on his and your computers yet? To see if it's the same one I had from a facebook video message look in DS program files and see if there is a program called tinyproxy.exe, if it is there the virus checkers miss that, come back to me if you've got that as I know how to get rid of it.
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)
  • Right I'm off until later as OH is here and I need to make up some hours (already)!! See you all later!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

Errrrrrrrmm ... how do I look in the programme files? :o:confused: :rotfl:

My AVG runs overnight every night which picked up nothing but I'm also running anti-malware at the moment because that's what eventually got rid of the hijack virus I had a while ago from a word attachment in an email. Hubby hasn't sorted son's PC yet because he only discovered it just as he was going to bed so that's a nice job waiting for him when he comes home from work. Kids, eh? Hubby had to revert it to factory settings a few weeks ago because it was knackered and now he's done it again! I guess we need to be a bit stricter with our safety measures with him. :o

Go to my computer, then click on local drive c, then click on program files, but if your DH is looking at it later perhaps he could look then :D

DS = Dear Son DH= Dear Hubby :D

Just look through the program files they are alphabetical, get to the t's and if there isn't a folder called Tinyproxy then you are clear of that one :D
