Feel scared and stupid and upset.

Today started off ok, but at lunch I was going to canteen with other girls from office and my boss looked surprised that I was not lunching with her and my colleague. I had told my colleague and she was ok about it. The feeling I get is because they sit together as personnel and they have always done that maybe they expect me too as well, which I do for most of the week but my personality is one that I have to have a break from the desk with other people. So I felt I had done wrong. Also I asked my boss after lunch about a task she gave me and she said 'you've not listened/understood what I said to you yesterday about it' and I thought I am trying my best to understand.
So i am not a happy bunny about this job. when I go in the other office everyone is chatty and enjoying their jobs, but in thisdept its quiet lonely and hardly any conversation for more than 30 secs. I just don't like it. the other girls are brilliant with me and make me feel welcome.
Think I will really push for working from home typing and try and build it up.

If you aren't understanding, it's no good trying - you've got to get them to spell it out for you.

If she says that you don't understand again ask 'in what context' so that she can explain what the heck she is going on about. But don't get upset, just stay calm and focused.

And of course you should be able to lunch with who you want, that's just nonsense. Who wants to spend all day with the same dull people???
