What to get squeaky for Christmas...

Options
Heh!

I'll bet that got your attention...

..OK...

..here's the deal...

*I* am on holiday too.

So...

..if I can help anybody with a question...

..and I'm sober enough to find it...

.. I will. Promise.

But I have to tell you... us Old Stylers have got it covered. We have been wa-a-a-ay ahead of you for months. Honnest miss, we 'ave miss, REALLY miss...

So can you please check out the Christmas sticky and the MEGA Index sticky before you ask your question and do your best to add a query onto a thread that fits with yours.

I promise you... the regular denizens of Old Style have already answered "The Hundred Most Often Asked Questions of Christmas" and WILL indeed be happy to answer others...

..but just help us out and please have a look around first because we are all busy getting gently mellow (wrecked) with friends and family...

..except for all the singletons who will be chatting with me on msn :)

heh!

  • Awwww...squeaky, you're going to have some time off????? is this really a good idea? - what if I need to ask a question tomorrow about how to cook a lobster, who will I ask? I don't think that you've thought this through properly.

You're right Squeaks, there can't be many domestic questions that haven't been covered on here at some point. And thanks to all your hard work it's all accessible and easy to find.

What with it being Christmas we expect you not to be sober...would be quite worried if you were!

    Have a lovely time,
    Sarah :santa2:

    Tough!

And that's EXACTLY how your lobster is going to be without instructions from Richard's Big Book of How To Cook Lobster.

Did I not do the link?

    Ooops :)

I NEVER post as a BG if I've had more than half a drink... and I have always done my very best to draw a clear and distinct line between my posts as a Board Guide and my posts as a squeaky.

    But you know what...?

I think that today is the very first time that I have blurred the distinction...

    and ...

    ...

    ..ya know what...?

    TODAY I don't care :)

Hope you get everything including your distinctions blurred tomorrow Squeaks.

You've been brilliant this year, a real God send to the board. Thanks for your time, trouble and enthusiasm looking after the board, things just wouldn't be as good without you IMO.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

I'm really sorry 'cos I'm mostly VERY quiet at this time of year...

..normal service will be resumed in FEBRUARY...

.. a couple (or three) glasses of a good port work wonders... but honest, I *REALLY* am quiet this time of year. I hibernate. Big time.

I've got HUNDREDS of 'em. From all over the world. Honest miss.

I'm not sure now but last week I was still on the first page of hits on google UK if you hit pages from the Uk only...

    ..how sad is THAT?

Actually... it's more for my help pages on javascript and an entire manuscript on backpain than it is for the fun stuff on my home page...

.. but it's still kinda nice. A mini claim to fame :)
