Can anyone let me know if they have actually managed to book a room for £9pn? I went onto the site as soon as the sale started and it has declined three of my credit cards. I checked with my banks to check if there was something wrong with my cards, but all is fine. Also spoken with travelodge and they have informed me that this is because a large amount of people are trying to book at the same time. I often use the travelodge when there are £19 deals and I find their service very helpful. Hopefully I can get a room soon. Good luck.
during the sale in september i managed book christmas in london, a family room for 24th, 25th and 26th december, total cost £27! i didnt have problems with payment, but i did have to persevere as the site kept freezing.
thanks to martin for the emails! :j
now i just hope we can eat out, otherwise we'll be eating sandwiches for christmas dinner!0 -
I managed to get a £9 room. we said we'd like to go to legoland with our toddler next year and would keep our eyes out for cheap travelodge deals. managed to get on there last night and found a room for £9 on a weeknight at the end of march
very exciting! we wanted to go mid week - there wasnt much choice - mainly friday and sundays.
if anyone knows how I can get cheaper tickets for lego land then please pm me. we are thinking of doing two days though I guess that might not be needed? plenty of time to plan it anyway.0 -
Their card processing gateway is a joke.
Tried three different cards for 40 minutes several times and get the stupid message " payment declined" . It doesn't even tell you what's the error.
I am using verified by visa it seems it's taking the password but then it just sits there for ages and comes back as declined.
By the way it's a £19 room.0 -
Hi - first attempt at this - but yes, have managed to book a £9 room but I thought I must have been bankrupted by some-one else as it took several attempts and several credit cards before one was accepted!0

 Save time searching for the £9 deals and save money @ www.inkeeperslodge.com where for £29.99 you get a quality room with lots of space and a very large bed + FREE breakfast. They are normally sited with a carvery (beats the Little Chef hands down) where an evening meal averages £6.50 for 2 courses if started before 7 pm.
£9 is OK but add the extras and see the true cost.0 -
It's worth persevering with the online booking. My card payment was declined a couple of times and when I tried again I had lost the room and it was a higher price. But finally managed to book a room right near the centre of Bath in March, should be a lovely break.

I managed to get a couple of rooms booked. I tried at the 9pm launch for while but could not get into the site as they had restricted it...fair enough I thought, after the fiasco with Leading Hotels! Had no luck so gave up.
I tried on the off chance just before midnight and the page came up.:j
Booked 2 nights in May in Covent Garden. Is ideal for us as it has a car park underneath and also allows pets.....NB as do all Travelodges, no questions asked! Parking can be an issue and also expensive  but if staying at the Travelodge, parking is £15 for 24 hours, not bad at all for London and so convenient too!
The following day I also booked 3 nights in the new Atlantic Wharf Travelodge for March. I'm seeing a show at the CIA and it's only 1 mile away. Hotels around the CIA are between £100-£250, assuming you can get a room when there is a gig on, so I am more than happy.
Had no trouble at all once I was actually on site. Payments went smoothly, as did the receipt of email confirmations
I take my hat off to Travelodge for not just having a few rooms at £9, to entice us in, but plenty all over the country. :T
Am considering the De Vere £10 sale now. Venues not so convenient to town centres but for a quieter time, might be nice!0 -
I've got a family room at london euston for the 24th and 25th of December. Paid 38 for them both and will not use it anymore. If anyone would like to buy/swap them for another date, please pm me.0
