Firstly if you have booked a seat and know where you are sitting, get on the plane last even if your seat numbers are called first. You will be on long enough without sitting on there for another 30 mins while others board.
You dont say who you fly with so cant comment on comfort but I would plan my time.
If you have one or can get hold of one take a portable dvd player and buy yourself some films to watch. Plane might show films but last time I flew Virgin to barbados there were 11 films being shown and I didn't fancy any of em so ended up flicking channels! 2 decent films = 4 hours
Take a book, a magazine and some newspapers =2 hours
Eating = 1 hour
Get up and walk about a bit if you can. On my Barbados flight I stood at the back talking to someone for over 30 minutes as the plane was quite large.
If your flight back is a night flight take a sleeping tablet and try to sleep!0 -

I went to Jamaica last year and flew with First Choice and the cabin crew were great!... my advice would be to watch a couple of films, there are 3/4 choices, read and sleep and eat. going there seemed really quick but coming back was a nightmare with turbulance and really long delays!!
Also, coming through customs on the way there was tough.. really long queues and soooooo slow!!0 -
I think Thompsons have 33" seat pitch on their long haul flights which is pretty good and isnt too cramped.
Getting on last is really important. You know where your seat is but if you get on last you can quickly see if any premium seats or empty rows are available. If they are then just sit yourself in one. If you can get 3 seats to yourself then you will have a much nicer flight (Unless you are going with family of course). If with partner, Get her to get 3 too and you can both stretch out!
Immigration in Caribbean is poor and takes ages so get off as quick as you can!0
