You've obviously got your shopping and portion control down to a tee!
  • Either as nessie says, or, if you are overweight, perhaps you could cut back so that you do have some leftovers. I don't mean that to be rude, but, I put on about 10lb a couple of years ago and have lost it by simply cutting portion size.

I deliberately factor in leftovers into a meal. Enough left over veg for the 2nd night means bubble and squeak, that is quick and easy to do. You all know the sort of thing, I don't like starting from scratch every time.

I often don't have leftovers. Sometimes I purposely make double - one half for the freezer (curry/chilli etc) The only roast we have leftovers from is chicken (and occasionally beef but not that often) because others joints we only buy the size we need. Its not a problem not to have leftovers!

I too do extra on purpose.. I have to eat something during the day and I refuse to cook just for me when everyone else is out or the nights I am at college I eat before I go and the family have theirs later.. I have 2 drawers full of 'freeze surprise'

  • Nowdays since there's only the two of us we never have leftovers. It's taken me 10 years to crack it but I can now gauge just how much we'll need.Saves me a load of money too.

    Hi

We've only had leftovers since my kids left home.

  • I have seven grandchildren that seem to 'hoover up' anything thats left over.especially my 6ft grandson who I swear has hollow legs .He's 18 this Friday, and my youngest DD is making two Chocolate cakes ,one for the rest of us on Saturday night ,and one for Danny her favorite nephew.
I shall be making the sausage rolls ,again, one tin for us, and a big box for Dan.He doesn't put an ounce on either darn it. But he does play a lot of sport so that burns it off I expect.
