Just in the last couple of days I've been getting spam emails
However when i look at the sender, the sender is my own email address?
I spoke to Yahoo and they advised changing my password and security question - which I did
Although they said they saw no sign of anyone else accessing my account
My question is:
Is it possible for a spammer/hacker to send you spam that looks like it is from your own address?
Even the return path on the email was my own email addy?
Norton is all up to date, adaware and spyware balster also
Please help

Yes - nothing to worry about (other than getting more spam). Nobody will have access to your email - spammers have just spoofed the email address as Browntoa says. Just treat it like any other spam - delete!0

yep - I was just looking on Yahoo Questions and saw other people having the same thing
Is there anything I can do?
Someone suggested running hijackthis and seeing if there is something there that shows up - but I wouldnt know what to do?0 -
not worth running anything, it is spam that Yahoo's filters will catch in the end and you will not see any moreEx forum ambassador

Spoke to them using their live chat
They told me to call an 0870 number to speak to the account line - they said they couldn't normally help but seeing as I had been advised by the live chat people to call them the nice guy helped me out0 -
