Cancelling Top Up Tv

Does anyone know if you have the same problems cancelling top up tv as setanta:confused:

    Do you mean the 'free' month's subscription? We went through this a month or so ago.:(

    We subscribed to the free one month trial in August. After the month was up, my OH rang to cancel. After being questioned as to why by the representative, they offered him another month's free trial which he accepted.

    After the second month was up, he called to cancel again. The same question as to why he wanted to do that after which he was told that he would have to pay a month's subscription.:eek: When he informed them that the previous representative had given him a second month free, he was told that he had been 'mislead' in to thinking that he was getting another month for free!:mad: As he'd had to give his bank details at the point of registration, he felt powerless to stop Top Up from taking a month's subscription. Needless to say, we were furious for the first representative's blatant lie to con us into paying for a month of crap old programmes & films! Also, the box keeps freezing, especially when deleting the afore mentioned crap-who would willingly pay for that?!?

    Wondering if anyone else had experienced being 'mislead' in the same way? Did look on here at the time, but the search didn't find anything.
  • I have been charged set up fee by TUTV after two days when cancelled because the Cam or card scrambled my HD tv on free view. One operator said he had not heard of a problem. the second did but her Manager would not talk to me.
    Technical support new of the problem with Sony but still they are charging me. I wait in fear of them taking money when i don't have the cam.
