My mother's 18 month old Freeview box went bang.
It only cost £25 from Tesco and I know I can buy a new one for £20 or less, but can I try the 'fit for purpose' line on them for a replacement?

I suppose it depends on what you mean by "bang".
You can try it and see what happens.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

That's what she said - it went bang and there was a burning smell.
Has anyone else had success returning goods to Tesco outside the 'warranty' period?Charlie0 -
Sounds fairly terminal - like the power supply's had it.
Like I said - give it a go - you've got nothing to lose.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

My PVR went "bang" during a thunderstorm. Is it possible that this was the cause? If so, you can't really claim "unfit for purpose""The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0
