avg problem? need some help

hi
i downloaded avg 8 trial version on my laptop as i was having some problems and i like to download games from bigfish and playfirst buy now i keep getting "unable to download", i think it is the firewall but i do not know how to turn it off or "whitelist" if anyone can guide me in real simple terms as i am not very techie i would really appreciate it.

Theres a trail vesion? Uninstall avg and try a different antivirus. I would recommend http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html0

Sounds like you have the trial of the Pro version installed, rather than the free version. Might be worth using the free version with a seperate firewall or switching to Avira or something similar, unless you intend to pay for AVG at the end of the trial.
To disable the firewall, right click on the AVG icon in the taskbar (bottom right of the desktop), select Control Centre and disable it from there. Maybe try disabling the Resident Scanner also, see if that works. Remember to turn them back on when you're done! Can't give you any more specific instructions as it's been a while since I've used AVG. :rolleyes:0
