  • You should be able to send them a credit card statement/bank statement for ID purposes I'd have thought.

    1. You don't have a choice as to whether to apply or not - you already have (and you've been credit searched as well).

    2. HSBC are very keen on ID. Take a bank statement (for address) and passport/driving licence (for name) to your local branch next Wednesday. They can process your request far quicker than doing it all the 'online' way, and they'll be able to tell you your credit limit at the same time.

    Hi YorkshireBoy,

Yeah.. I see what you mean, but I didn't want to accept if it's not as much as I need.

Thanks for the top tips though, I'll be in that queue on Wednesday then!!! :)

  • Read Martin's article about this; point is you have the credit check mark now so even if its not enough you might aswell take it as its still "free money" and perhaps apply somewhere else for the rest?
