I used 5 recycle bags with my shopping so was given £5 off my £70 shop.

So thats just over 7% off then....

I wish Tesco would be a bit more helpful- they have a lions-share of the market, you'd think they'd help out some of the customers who their current offers do not apply for!

(sorry, just being needlessly grumpy here- ANOTHER person infront of me in the queue got a till-split today- read it, laughed -something about points for fresh fruit, and promtly spat thier chewing gum into it, then into the bin it went!)

How did you get that? I always use my own bags and only get green points! usually they forget and have to add them afterwards, works out better cos they add about three times the amount but I'd rather have a fiver off!!! Was this a till spit? Lucky you getting a fiver off.

For those who have never had a till spit it may be due to when you applied to clubcard. As far as i am aware in order to be eligible to receive these, you have to have ticked the box on the application form saying that you would like to receive offers from Tesco.

If your not sure, you can phone up the clubcard helpline and ask them to make sure that you are down as "yes" for offers on your clubcard account and if not they can change it without any probs.

I've been lucky the last couple of weeks and had money off till spits for things I actually buy eg, margarine, fabric softener etc. Have spent £20/30 in a shop to get these.

Never get till spits from the Self Serve Tills, only from going to a manned till!!

Up until recently.. evereee Tuesday (for the last few years) my friend and I would go shopping on a Tuesday afternoon.. (She 'ohhh non collector of anything Tesco'.. :undecided Couldnt give a stuff about points/coupons etc)

Every week.. she gets a till spit.
    Every week, I don't.

I even phoned them once to see if it was something I did or didn't tick when I originally signed up all themmm years ago.
But nope.. according to the lady on the phone, all that was fine. She couldnt understand why I never get them either.

I never get till spits at Tesco, the last couple of times though I have forgotten my clubcard and got 2 each time and all for points! I think the till must assume I don't have a card so is trying to entice me to get one.
Do other people get till spits with/without clubcard, do you spend alot?
I was thinking of never handing in my clubcard and going straight to CS to add them after, but they might start to wonder if I'm upto something.

What on earth is a till spit???:rotfl:

I personally found that when I shopped regularly at my local big Tesco store I hardly ever got any offers from them. It really changed within the first year I began stopping shopping with them every 1-2 weeks.
In fact the first Christmas following (2007) I was shocked and very :D:D:D:D pleased to receive massive discount vouchers through the post and the till spits around that time where so good I couldn't possibly use them all unless I shopped there 2-3 times a week or more?!

After using a lot of these excellent offers and cunningly maximising my profit, not theirs, by using them very wisely, spending the minimum I could get away with to get their full value :money: not surprisingly it all began to dry up! :p
So IMHO your friend is at the moment probably, like I was for that period, being heavily targeted in an attempt to win her back as a regular customer?

P.S. Does anyone know of any stores that take money-off coupons without actually buying he items concerned? Thanks.
