Hey,
Does anyone know how to get from Miami to the Sawgrass shopping outlet?
We're not able to rent a car but have heard that this place is well worth a visit.
If anyone has any suggestions for fantastic restaurants or where else to go, it would be much appreciated!!

There might be buses, but most people go by car.

I've been and it does get very very busy and the queues to pay get very long, so get there early. IMHO Banana Republic is the best outlet.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
I was recommended to stop at Sawgrass when I was travelling down from Orlando to Miami last year - ( broke the trip with a night at Weston - a good Italian restaurant there) - got to be honest was disappointed by Sawgrass Mills - a litte tired - did not seem to offer offer choice, quality ( or even savings) that we got at outlets /Malls / dept stores in Orlando / Fort Lauderdale
- although yes I did buy some jumpers at Banana RepublicAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
There a few private shuttle bus companys that do a run from Miami to Sawgrass mills but this would take you much longer to get there than the 40-60 min car journey as they have to stop at other hotels to pick up and drop off on the way.
Sawgrass Express (305) 651-7196
Bravo Transportation (305) 496-5669
Genesis Bus Service (305) 956-2839
Super Shuttle (305) 871-2000
Express Shuttle (305) 947-1911
Much more comfortable to get there by car as you can go put all your bargains back in the car and then start again :j . Perhaps you could rent a car for a day?
I also think theres a shuttle to Sawgrass from MIA. If you cant get there you could try Dolphin mall they have lots of shops there too, its not outlet though but i think its a bit nearer.
Where are you staying? My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

Thanks for the tips. We can't rent a car as do not have a credit card.
I'm actually wondering if it's even worth a trip there now. Ive heard that the Aventura Mall & Dolphin are good and will save the long journey!
We're staying at the Sheraton on Miami beach, Collins Ave.
Does anyone know any good places to eat? I quite fancy Barton G....0 -
I wouldn't bother without a car, BTW Don't forget the Macy*s 11% off tourist card.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Restaurants we enjoyed were, Grillfish on Collins Ave which had a great menu, great service and fantastic food prices were reasonable to.
My favorite casual dinning is Big Pinks, mmmmm i just love those hot buffalo wings, there menu is massive and prices and portions are fantastic -love it there.
Jerry Famous Deli is another casual dinning place once again massive menu. its done out like a 50s-60s diner. I like to go there for lunch after eating rich, fattning food for 2 weeks just to have plain old egg n chips.
Theres also a place that does great fajitas down in the spanish quarter (its right on the corner by the lights)
Weve eaten in quite a few places in miami cant remember there names but have to say weve never had a bad meal in any of them.My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)
