I changed my modem yesterday and ever since I keep getting signed out of Google, I have a Google Toolbar and I get signed out when I change pages that I'm browsing or close my browser - it's driving me mental.

Modem is Netgear.
Depending on your ISP, you may need to reduce the MTU setting from the default to say 1430. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

MTU might be 1492 and not stated as 1430. Mine is set to the standard 1500 but grey out as its set to Auto. Some people have reduced 1500 to 1492...

espresso,
I was correcting you on the value you supplied incorrectly, you said "Depending on your ISP, you may need to reduce the MTU setting from the default to say 1430". It happens to be 1432 as suggested by talktalk site.
I just added that the value might be 1492 as suggested on the wiki and also linked to from talktalk. Sorry I also missed your vital link to "http://www.talktalkmembers.com/content/view/55/68/", where is it from your posts?
extract from talk talk.
The TalkTalk broadband network has an MTU of 1432 bytes0
