Simple question....will MSN and Yahoo messenger sit quite happily together on a laptop. I know there are some programmes thta will "speak" to multiple IM systems but just need to know about these two.

Why not install a client that can talk to both MSN and Yahoo like Trillian?
There are a lot of multi protocol IM clients listed here
In fact looking that table Yahoo Messenger will talk to Windows live Messenger as well. So you probably only need YahooIt's my problem, it's my problem

you can add yahoo contacts to msn so might work the other way round.0
