Selling Cast Iron Fireplace

Hi
I have just replaced my Cast Iron fireplace and I have been told that it could be worth something.
Apparently it's an Adams fireplace although I don't know how you can tell.
What I do know is that it is damn heavy!
I would like to check this out and see if it can be sold to a restoration/reclamation company rather than pick up a few quid from a scrapyard.
Does anyone have any knowledge of any such companies near Newcastle upon Tyne?
Thanks
Snowman
