Creative Zen which i think are superior to ipods. What is your budget?
Downloading songs will all depend on your connection speed. Average file size is say 5mb. Takes me a couple of minutes usually.
Places to download from? legally i suppose itunes and napster.0 -
To be honset the cheaper the better or i could just wait abit longer and make sure i get something worth while.
How much am i looking at for a zen??
im on broadband so fairly quick:beer: LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
I think you have answered your own question by saying you know you can't afford one :O)
Why don't you try the Tesco mp3 player and see how you get on? If you really love using it then it may give you the incentive to save for the Ipod?
I love the Nano but just can't answer Martin's Do I need it and can I afford it questions!!The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
I waited a while before i got one and the thing i find is to stick to your guns. I knew the ipod nano would not be big enough and wanted 20 gig minimum. Creative are currently launching their new model so places like comet and dixons are trying to offload the old model. I got the 40gig creative zen touch a week ago for £155 reduced from £210. It was their last model and was used for display but was in perfect condition.
Regards the IPOD. Do you want/need the video function? Do you need over 4gig memory? List what features you want from your mp3 player and ill give you an idea of the price range.0 -
All i need is something that can hold enough song for an 1hr walk to work everyday without having to listen to the same songs over and over. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0

How about something like that? You can get other makes and models much cheaper so plenty of choice. If you only need it an hour a day and are willing to change the songs on it every so often then you dont need much bigger. Obviously the bigger the hard drive the more expensive they get.
Was there any reason in particular you wanted the IPOD?0 -
What about saving up for the new Sony Walkman ? I am looking to buy my son either that or an Ipod for his Birthday in January, and hope to get a bargain in the sales.
Anybody got any ideas which would be best value for money/ fun to use etc ?keep smiling,

Yeah thats really nice i like that thanks.
I think the main reason i wanted one is because my dad as just bought one and ive been fiddeling with that and have fallen in love with it.
Also the Ipod would be ideal to plug into the car.
the last and most important reasons is it looks so dam good looking and im a sucker for good looking things. (sad i know) LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
I am sure you must have some music cd's you could then rip your own for your own consumption and then playback on your ipod/mp3 player, that would would last you for a while until you can afford some mp3 music.0

Hi
How about the IRiver, H120, 20gigs, plays everything, superior sound, line in, you can even record directly to it, no complicated software, just drag and drop.
I have the H140, 40gigs and I love it
Hope this helps
Merry Christmas
