Hi there
We have an older thread on this subject, so I'll merge this one to keep ideas together.

A good drizzle of fairy liquid and a tablespoon of sugar.Rub it all in together .For any stubborn marks use a scourer then wipe off with a damp cloth and polish dry with kitchen roll or a tea towel.I find the end result much better than hobrite (and cheaper)

I juat tried this on my ceramic hob, and it is quite effective. Can't compare it to hob-brite, as have not used that yet. It did not get all the stains out, but I think I need a hob scraper for them (I can feel that they are stuck onto the the surface). I polished it off with a microfibre cloth and its so shiny! We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0
