Electoral role - strange omission on credit report

I just looked at my credit report for the first time. It says I'm not on the electoral role - which is plainly untrue as I always get a voting card, and have been voting in every election since I moved to my house in 2004! I'm not sure who to contact about this as obviously the council knows I'm on the electoral role. Do I talk to Experian directly?
Thanks

I'm now wondering if they've got me under a different name on the roll, although I never use my married name for anything official.0

That's quite possible. I would inspect the electoral roll. You can do this at your nearest public library.* Pay particular attention to the way your details are recorded on the register. First name(s) as well as surname. Also an extra line may be inserted/omitted, for instance, where a block of flats or house name is involved. You'd be surprised how often this happens.
When you apply for credit facilities, bank accounts etc.or to the credit reference agencies, ensure your address matches the details as they appear on the electoral register.
*If you opted out of the edited register (which is sold to anyone who wants to buy and which may be viewed in a public library), you can check the full version at your local electoral registration office.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
I had a similar issue - I contacted Experian, they investigated, and found that my address on the Register of Electors was slightly different to that registered with Experian (it is a bit of an odd address!).
I didn't have to give them any evidence and it was dealt with very quickly.
Mel.Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

Experian got back to me really quickly. I was right, on the electoral role I'm under my married name. THey sent me a form to fill which I've returned to them, hopefully that should sort it out.0

I've been having this problem for MONTHS and they've never managed to sort it out. Every time they make an amendment to my report, it ends up showing duplicates of my credit agreements. They've promised me that they can see my electoral roll details and so will other lenders but I'm not sure I believe that?0

If the electoral roll has your address wrong, e.g. an extra or missing line, can this be changed to match the correct postal address? I have just got my credit report and have the same problem as the OP. Checking my council tax bills I notice they are wrong (no building name for my block of flats); however all my bank statements and other bills are broadly correct. I am not looking forward to dealing with the council as I have been trying to get a correct (amount and names) council tax bill since September!!

I am on the ER but for some reason Equifax didn't have me listed as such even though Experian did. I sent them an email via their website and it was all rectified the following week.0
