Which are the best door protectors to buy?

Our drive is quite narrow so I know for a fact the doors are going to hit the fence sometimes when our daughter is getting out of the car.

I remember years ago buying door protectors but you don't tend to see many about these days.

I assume Halfords still sell them but is there a particular type that is better than any other?

I know there are protectors on the middle of our car doors but it is to protect the upper part which would catch on the fence.

Second vote for the old carpet trick. Rubber mats if its outdoors.

Mine hits the wall of the house, so I am not sure a rubber mat or carpet stuck to the wall will look to good! :o

How about pipe insulator at the correct level. Shouldn't look too intrusive.

Sorry, but can't or rather I am not putting stuff on the fence.

It will look terrible and I can't really put it on there anyway as it is vertical lap fencing.

It's def got to be something on the car door.
  • it just needs to be something 2 inches long as long as you have the skill to stop the car in the same spot

i put a tiny dolop of concrete on the drive (the size of a cigarete) you then know you are in the right spot to turn the car off

Off course you could teach your daughter to open doors properly and if she is not old enough to understand this put the child locks on

also would it make any odds if she got out the other side
  • also when you change car you just whack the concrete with a hammer and it comes away

    Who?

Of course I do and I have seen quite a few but the question was 'Which are the best to buy?', not can I buy some and where from.

    ;)
  • don't buy any door protectoers as they mark the car cos the dort gets caught behind and you end up having to respray the sodding thing!

    Hateful, hateful, hateful things!!
