    Hello everyone!

I am going to send out lots and lots of hugs. I think we all need them.

I didn't get everything done on my list yesterday, here is todays list (It may look familiar...)

    - check online banking
    - check mobile phone spend
    - update personal journal with my thoughts and progress thus far
    - order new driving licence with the right address on it.
    - clean kitchen
    - read more of library book
    - send off the form for my £5 cheque (marketing thing)
    - send away the form and register to vote at my current address
    - send back on the mail that is STILL coming to me but is for the last guy (a year ago since I was signing the papers nearly, come on people!)
    - pay the last part of orchestra subscription
    - pay £10 deposit for work night out in January

I managed a NSD yesterday so that is something, it was a good Samaritans shift too. I HATE prank callers...

Anyway, time for me to get back to work, I'm super busy today (hence the late response)

    More hugs and sparkles!

    Hellooo
    Today I have:
Checked my online banking (get paid on Friday, cannot WAIT)
Checeked my credit report for the first time - surprised to see I'm not on the electoral roll, which is very odd as I've voted in all the elections since I moved to my current home five years ago! Am Amazed I've been given credit for all the cards I've got. Trying to sort that one out.
    Brought packed lunch
Will be buying ingredients for my Christmas cake (not really DFW but am happy abuot it so thought I'd list it!)
Making some more sugar flowers tonight as I watch TV for my fledgling cupcake business.
  • Not much for me today - will check comps later and Pigsback.

Not buying any newspapers or taking the bus home which will save me £1.10. Instead I'll make do with the free copy of the Daily Record PM.

Oh, and a colleague has given me the free washing powder voucher from todays Evening News so I'll be picking up a £1.89 pack of powder from Lidls for nothing tonight.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    :)
  • Hello & thank you for welcoming me to the thread yesterday :)

    Made a banana loaf.
Made 2 cottage pies (one for today, one for freezer)
Made dough in breadmaker for rolls which are rising at the moment!
    Eaten hm soup for lunch.
Put the washing machine on a fast wash & hung the washing on the line to save electricity.

Have a good afternoon & evening everyone :)
  • Hello everyone

As you can see I am new to the boards but I have been lurking for the past couple of weeks. I have found the boards very helpful but quite daunting - I have spent many hours floundering, skipping from one board / thread to another....

....then I came across this thread - I love it :j

It suits my way of thinking - it will get me started one small step at a time - you all seem very helpful and inspirational :T

I am due to give up a very stressful job in 6 weeks time - I work very long hours Mon, Tues, Wed 8am - 10.30pm (am off work poorly today) and seem to spend my life either working, recovering from work or preparing to go to work. 20 years ago we had a serious debt which took us 10 years to clear. With giving up work (and having no job to go to at the moment) I am determined that we don't repeat our past mistakes.

So I would love to join your thread and here are my very small dfw steps for today:

-washed and dried the dishes by hand
-put a washload out to dry over the radiators
    -2nd of two NSD days
-sent a PM to Eagerlearner to get started on daily clicks
-not eaten - not really dfw due to a poorly tummy - say no more

Thanks for reading my rambling

Piq, i would get running before i give you a mighty productive kick up the back side:rotfl:

Get your sparkly socks on, dance to a fave track, watch an inspirational film and then pick yourself back up again:D

On a more serious note, there is nothing wrong with having an off day or a day where you don't do anything dfw or shift the debt, we all need those days where we just need to keep it simple. Not forgetting its like a diet, if we make it too hard then were less likely to stick to it or get fed up with it and how difficult it is.

If it helps why not think of the positive things you are doing today, perhaps a low spend, or not blowing lots of money, or buying some reduced stuff. Alternatively take some time to chill and focus on you, because you is very important.;)
