  • BB - you'll have to explain the hotel club thing to me again....

Sign up to Hotel Club (the link will be on MSE if you do a search) and you get a £25 off voucher which can be used for 1 night. Use a second email address and sign up again with that addy. Book 1 night with 1 email address and the second with the other to get £25 off twice. You will get 2 separate confirmations, print them off and when you get to the hotel just say they are both for you, so you don't have to change room - I made up a story about booking 1 night in error instead of 2

Not sure if they are still doing it, but Pigsback were giving 1000 points for a hotel club booking. I got Leeds for £7 one night and £17 the second night if I remember correctly.

Obviously, that's if you want 2 nights - if 1 night, just sign up the once. You need to be signed up by 31 December.

There is nothing mega cheap available though, so worth checking out other hotel booking sites as well.
