Best way to transfer large amounts of money from Australia to UK?

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this question in, but I'm wondering if someone could please help me:
I want to transfer a large amount from Australia (somewhere between $50,000 and $500,000 Australian Dollars) into my Pounds Sterling UK Current Account. I'm wondering if someone could please tell me the best way to do this which is completely safe and offers the best exchange rate?

We used Ozforex to transfer £ to AU$, I'm pretty sure they do it the other way round too - always had good service from them
