    That's right, what I get paid here is akin to an expense allowance - get a fixed amount per day, and all other expenses are more or less paid on actuals, so the allowance amount is basic saving. I also get my full salary back home in India, which is also a net saving (unfortunately, we don't have a site like this out there :(

    I think I pay tax on a PAYE basis, and this is directly paid by the organisation (instead of deducting it at source, they pay it off directly)
    It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!

    any employee can get paid per diem for expenses incurred in the execution of their employment.

    The inland revenue gives the allowances for the types of activity on their site.
